About Us

We chose the name "Design Automation Consulting" or "DAC" as an adjective that describes what we do. While working as design engineers and CAD instructors, we were bothered with time wasting activities on account of the software. We noticed an abundance of repetitive actions that don't make the final product any better or give the designer time to be creative. With innovative programming and thorough understanding of customer requirements, DAC has found methods of overcoming these repetitive actions. Click on the "DEMO" page to see videos of our tools in action.

Education

I received my undergraduate education at Southeast Missouri State. There, I discovered that I loved engineering and excelled in mathematics and design. While attending school I worked full time for an Engineering firm. I was able to Integrate Autodesk Inventor as the company’s first Solid Modeling Software. I graduated from SEMO (Southeast Missouri State) with a Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering. While at SEMO I was a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME).

I continued on with my graduate studies at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. I was offered a complete assistantship in Academics. I pursued a master's degree in the field of Computer Graphics Technology; a blend of design, animation, and automation, coupled with intensive CATIA studies and methodologies. Due to my expertise in CATIA, while still working on my masters, I was asked to teach CATIA V5 and Rhinoceros 3D to enrolled Purdue Students. During my first year of graduate studies, I went on to intern with Boeing in Seattle, WA.  My internship with Boeing led me to the origin of my master’s thesis. With my obtained design and animation skills I got involved and took lead on a project for Boeing creating a 3D animated film to display the assembly process of a Boeing 787. This animation now plays in the Boeing THE FUTURE OF FLIGHT MUSEUM in Everett, Washington for thousands of viewers. The design completion of this project was the completion of my thesis statement and Masters Degree. I completed my Masters from Purdue University with a 4.0 GPA.

Education

After high school I spent two years living and working in the Dominican Republic on a church service mission. This time gave me comprehensive language skills in Spanish. In 1996 I graduated from Weber State University with my bachelors in Spanish and minor in business. During college I owned and operated a landscape contracting business which I sold.  After a year working as the distribution coordinator for a chain of 100+ restaurants I began my graduate studies at CGU (Claremont Graduate University). I received an MBA with a Finance and Strategy emphasis. During my studies I worked for a silicon wafer processing group that began with new technology & methods developed at Cal Tech in Pasadena. While there I managed the OEM sales force and developed our technical sales literature. During this time I authored and submitted a white paper regarding our technology to Jet Propulsion Laboratories. From hundreds of submittals this paper was selected and I latter presented at a space and aeronautics conference hosted by NASA.

After completing my studies, I began working for a private banking group where I managed a $35MM commercial real estate portfolio.  Upon seeing opportunity, I secured my own contractors license and built a development company. I have since sold that company but during my tenure developed over 200+ acres of commercial and residential land then designed and built 65,000+ SF of commercial and high end residential space.
